Defining Your Vision

Whenever we start a strategic plan, we ask our clients to define their vision. We start there because a strategic plan is a map and the vision is the place you are trying to get to.

Your VISION is the answer to one key question:

If your organization created the perfect world, what would it look like?

The answer to that is your vision for the future.

Your MISSION tells us how you are going to get to that perfect world, but if you don’t know where you going, you can’t get there.

And as a CEO of a nonprofit, your role is to escort your organization along the journey to that perfect world.

That is why we start here. A great nonprofit leader can do three things really well.

  1. See that vision

  2. Design a plan to make it a reality.

  3. Communicate that vision to others.

That is why understanding it is the first step to your success.
