Women Who Change the World
An initiative to harness the collective power of our community
What is Women Who Change the World?
We are starting an initiative to harness the collective power of our community. There are so many inspiring female leaders among us, and we need to channel our rage, our fear, our passion, our talents, and our influence to make real change. Starting in our neighborhoods and towns, all the way up to the highest levels of office.
This group will be one part professional development, one part support group, and one part activism. But the truth is, we don’t know exactly what this group will become. We just know that we need each other.

How will this mission manifest?

-
Community. We will create a safe space for women to bring concerns, ideas, and thought starters.
-
Knowledge. We will share resources and learnings to educate and inspire one another.
-
Empowerment. We will encourage, challenge, and hold each other accountable for the goals we set.
-
Connection. We will aim to bring diverse perspectives into the group, knowing that we have a common goal. We will openly and honestly share our challenges and offer support, advice, or empathy to the best of our ability.
-
Action. We will commit to advocacy and take action in big and small ways to support women in leadership.
Tactically, we plan to:

Manage a community group on LinkedIn to share resources and knowledge, ask questions, and offer support.

Host monthly virtual meetings and annual or bi-annual in person meetings. These event may include curate speakers on a range of topics, workshop style sessions to solve real member challenges, and sharing stories or practicing new skills in a safe environment.
